Well This Just Recently Got On My Mind And I Need Some Information..?

Alrighty, so I’m 19 years old and I’m a dude. A couple years back I was doing a lot of drugs….Mostly pot and alcohol. My parents did some family counseling to “set me straight” they mentioned something about how I wouldn’t really be able to get anyone pregnant. They’ve mentioned here and there somethings “special” about me. But I’m not a retard. ..And on my 18th birthday my dad said “I have something to tell you….But I’m gonna wait till your 21.” I have a vague memory of them dressing me up like a girl when I was little for a day and I cried about it. This is pretty serious to me….What classifies a transexual? I mean….I have a penis and pubic hair and some facial hair and I’m 6′2 I have pretty big muscles and an adams apple. And I’m straight. There was one more thing…I asked my dad for some condoms when I was 16 and he said I probably don’t need them. I look and act like a dude and I have the right stuff down there… So what the **** are they talking about?

My dear, if you identify yourself as a ‘dude’, and you cried when you were dressed as a girl by your parents, you’re NOT transsexual.
To help put your mind at ease, here are the diagnostic criteria psychiatrists require for a diagnosis of transsexualism;
1. A sense of belonging to the opposite sex and of having been born into the wrong sex
2. A sense of estrangement from one’s own body, so that any evidence of one’s own biological sex is regarded as repugnant
3. A strong desire to resemble physically the opposite sex and to seek treatment, including surgery, towards this
4. A wish to be accepted in the community as belonging to the opposite sex
5. Persistence of these feelings and convictions, often since childhood
6. No evidence of biological or associated psychiatric illness, such as schizophrenia.
ALL of these must be present for a definitive diagnosis, and your post above doesn’t mention ANY of them. So, I repeat; you’re NOT transsexual.
(Incidentally, you might notice that those criteria don’t mention sexual orientation at all; that’s because it’s irrelevant.
Transsexual people can be straight, gay/lesbian, bisexual or asexual, just like anyone else).
I suggest you ask your father to tell you what he’s hinting at; explain that it’s preying on your mind, and you need to know.

You can usually tell by transexuals faces if. If you REALLY look like a guy then it’s something other than what you think. If you have really soft features then who knows! maybe you were born with both and they cut off the wrong one! That sounds pretty extreme though like a conspiracy. maybe you can’t have kids because the drugs screwed you up in the sperm department. Maybe they mean you have micro penis. Just so you the aveerage size is a little less then 6 inches and not the size of half your pinky.

idk that’s weird go talk to your doctor (its called patient doctor confidentiality) and he can tell you whats wrong
p.s. the drugs may have made you sterile

You are old enough to sit down with them down and tell them what you feeling, I am sure they are good parents and they will explane.

First, you ARE NOT a transexual, those are men who feel they are women inside and usually have their bodies altered to become women. You ARE NOT that!! So don’t even think about it. I have no idea what the blazes your parents are talking about, unless you are sterile for some weird reason. If what you are saying is true, I would suggest that you go talk to your physician IN PRIVATE and tell him this story. Let him give you a physical, even contact your pediatrician for your medical records and see if there is something there. You have the legal right to get your own doctor now and know what is in your medical records if you request it.

Maybe you had ball-cancer as a kid, your parents had the doctors put in the prosthetic balls to make you feel normal growing up, but you really lack balls.
Tell your dad to tell you now. Your parents need some more counseling.
