What’s The Difference In An Alcohol Awareness Class And An Alcohol Counseling Session?
Posted by: Alan in Alcohol Counseling, tags: Alcohol, Awareness, Class, Counseling, Difference, Session, What's
I had too much to drink one night, now I got to take some sort of alcohol class, I tried to look it up but can’t find out the difference. And do anyone have any Idea what it cost. I’m trying to get in something free.

i would guess that alcohol awareness is for anyone, and alcohol counseling is for people with problems.

An alcohol class is typically a first step before you would have to go to alcohol counseling. Whoever is imposing this requirement hopes that, by educating you on the effects and dangers of alcohol, you will be able to change your behavior on your own. Mandated alcohol counseling is usually reserved for “repeat offenders” or individuals who have attended alcohol classes and still need more professional assistance in changing their behaviors (via counseling) or present with such severe problems that counseling is deemed necessary for them to improve.
As far as cost goes, it just depends on where you live, who’s mandating the class, and how much thay want to “punish” you for your violation.
