How long do the effects of alcoholism last in the body?

Not alcohol itself, but the effects of overdrinking for a prolonged period… IE: Bad neuromuscular function, mind fog, lethargy, etc.

It depends on the damage that has been done with the alcohol. For example: Alcohol abuse causes cirrhosis of the liver. Alcoholism and alcohol abuse damages the liver. If the damage is severe it is known as cirrhosis. Cirrhosis can lead to liver failure, liver cancer and death.
