Does the “Passages: the alcoholism and addiction cure” work?

It supposedly works on a different model than AA.

Passages is a treatment center. Does it work? On some people, sure, but any treatment center can work in certain circumstances with certain people who really WANT to cure themselves. You can’t GET cured, you get help curing yourself. Passages happens to cost a VAST amount of money per month, like $60k, so it wouldnt be my first choice.
As for AA, it would probably be my LAST choice. It’s a fundamentalist Christian conversion program disguised as alcohol treatment.
