Why is it that people with alcoholism tend to blame others here?

Denial and a lack of contact with reality. My partner blames his father, his mother, stress, being bullied when he was in high school etc. Everything and anything.
Bottom line is only he puts the drink to his lips.

Very few addicts will take responsibility for there own actions. Sadly it usually takes a serious life threatening wake up call to shock them into action.
