There is a benzo called Librium that is given to alcoholics who are going through withdrawal symptoms. As for it being like an anti-depressant, no it’s not exactly. It’s an anti-anxiety drug. Antabuse is a drug given to people trying to quit drinking.
“Antabuse serves merely as physical and psychological deterrent to someone trying to stop drinking. It does not reduce the person’s craving for alcohol, nor does it treat any alcohol withdrawal symptoms.”
