How has either total abstinence with or without AA, or any other approach, been or not been effective, in your own knowledge or experience?

I am probly the worst alcoholic you will ever talk to and need help with it because i have a loving family that worry about me and children that look up to me.

I’m 14. My mom says that she drinks because she likes the buzz and likes to be drunk. It kills me to see her be drunk. She falls everywhere, one time, she fell 7 times and got a huge cut. She slurs, and one time she even flicked me off and occasionally cusses with words I’ve barely ever heard before. She even blacked out once, she sounded like a whole different person. She is an amazing mom when she’s sober, and I want that 24-7. Can anyone please help me?

Does anyone have any experience with this newer treatment. It is based on replenishing lacking brain chemicals which are causing a “reward deficiency” . The Amino acids are given either through IV or orally. Is this medically accepted? More importantly does it work to prevent relapses? Thanks!
