Nope. I like my drugs. As a matter of fact I need to go shoot up with heroin now.

I am a certified alcohol and drug counselor in Illinois and am also in graduate school to earn my Masters and Education Specialist degree. I would like to open up my own substance abuse treatment center. I would also like to provide DUI evaluations and treatment. What steps do I need to take in order to do this? Please only respond if you have knowledge about this. Thank you.

Im asking how can a doctor prove his patient has a history of alcohol abuse?

Let’s say an alcoholic applies for health care and denies previous alcohol abuse. Does he need prove that he’s not getting his drink on?

Or an alcoholic tries to obtain a medical marijuana card. Does the patient or doctor need medical prove that he’s a drunk?

Since it is 8 pages, you will probably need a ton of information: http://www.niaaa.nih.gov/FAQs/General-English/default.htm that has a lot of information that you may want to use. You can also split the paper into different sections: alcohol abuse amongst teenagers; alcohol abuse on college campuses; alcohol abuse amongst adults; effects of alcohol abuse on the user; effects of alcohol abuse on the family and friends of the user; etc. I would start off the paper with a stunning statistic to grab the readers attention, such as: “Did you know that more than 50% of adult drinkers report that someone in their family has struggled with alcohol abuse?” (from http://www.gdcada.org/statistics/alcohol.htm). This website will also help you Im sure: http://www.cdc.gov/nchs/fastats/alcohol.htm

I’ve been accepted to LPN school and on the physical sheet they ask if I’ve ever been treated for drug or alcohol abuse. I really don’t want to reveal this, some people are very judgmental when it comes to that. But it says on the bottom that knowingly giving false information can result in dismissal to the program, I went to rehab 7 years ago. Shouldn’t this be my business? Do I have to reveal this?
If I answer yes can they take back my acceptance to the program?

This is something that a good lawyer should be able to answer in a phone call without a charge. Look for one that handles drug and alcohol charges. I believe that unless a legal charge was filed, that you don’t have to report it – but I wouldn’t swear to that under those circumstances.

Alcohol abuse can stop me from keeping my mos i choose. I was a first offender and did 1 year probation with no prob. and after my year i went back to court and i guess it was dis mist. thanks for the help. Army 15J.
And i told them the charge and that is was dismist.

Ive been detoxed for about 4 weeks now, been to see the doctor today and he has prescribed Clonazepam 0.5 mg twice a day, Zopiclone 15 mg at night, Risperidone 0.5 mg twice a day, Pabrinex injections at lunch time for 5 days, 2 vitamin B compound strong tablets and 2 Thiamine tablets daily. I was drinking approximately 50 units of alcohol a day and i have been struggling to sleep quite badly but is all this medication necessary?

I read somewhere with alcohol for some reason they are necessary, and I think heroin. Alcohol detox for some reason has to monitored and given medication to help the come down. I wish you the best of luck.
