I would like to find substance abuse treatment centers in Ennis (or near there) because that’s where my friend lives. I have just recently known of her alcoholism and I really want to help her, even if it’s just by helping her find a treatment center. How will I do this?

Question by Rainy D: Is past treatment for drug and alcohol abuse private?
I’ve been accepted to LPN school and on the physical sheet they ask if I’ve ever been treated for drug or alcohol abuse. I really don’t want to reveal this, some people are very judgmental when it comes to that. But it says on the bottom that knowingly giving false information can result in dismissal to the program, I went to rehab 7 years ago. Shouldn’t this be my business? Do I have to reveal this?
If I answer yes can they take back my acceptance to the program?

This is something that a good lawyer should be able to answer in a phone call without a charge. Look for one that handles drug and alcohol charges. I believe that unless a legal charge was filed, that you don’t have to report it – but I wouldn’t swear to that under those circumstances.

Alcohol abuse can stop me from keeping my mos i choose. I was a first offender and did 1 year probation with no prob. and after my year i went back to court and i guess it was dis mist. thanks for the help. Army 15J.
And i told them the charge and that is was dismist.

Ive been detoxed for about 4 weeks now, been to see the doctor today and he has prescribed Clonazepam 0.5 mg twice a day, Zopiclone 15 mg at night, Risperidone 0.5 mg twice a day, Pabrinex injections at lunch time for 5 days, 2 vitamin B compound strong tablets and 2 Thiamine tablets daily. I was drinking approximately 50 units of alcohol a day and i have been struggling to sleep quite badly but is all this medication necessary?

I read somewhere with alcohol for some reason they are necessary, and I think heroin. Alcohol detox for some reason has to monitored and given medication to help the come down. I wish you the best of luck.
