Question by : Define cell pathology and identify the type of cell which has been damaged by alcohol?
Mr. X has been admitted to the accident and emergency department. He has been involved in a motorbike accident, is unconscious and has leg injuries which will require surgery.
Witnesses at the scene of the accident told ambulance staff that he did not appear to have proper control of his motorbike and drove headlong into the path of an upcoming vehicle.
Before Mr. X can undergo surgery for his crushed leg his blood needs to be tested to see if he has any underlying conditions which need to be taken into account before surgery commences. He also shows signs of internal haemorrhaging and may also require treatment for blood loss.
The blood results have now been returned from the laboratory emergency services and it now transpires that Mr. X has raised blood alcohol levels and was drunk at the time of the accident.
His hospital medical records have been traced and reveal that Mr. X has been receiving ongoing medical care for liver disease due to alcoholism.
He has been attending monthly clinics to monitor his liver function.

Question by karl: Can I join the Coast Guard having voluntarily been in rehab for alcohol?
Thinking of joining the Coast Guard and need to know if you can join having been in rehab (For alcohol. No Drugs). It was 2 years ago and I no longer drink and I am in good shape. The only thing I can find online is rehab for drugs, and it was for alcohol. The 2 are related, but a little less severe (In my opinion). Thanks for any help on this

Yes, as long as you don’t have anything on your record in regards to felony or arrests. You should have no problem joining the Coast Guard. I was in an alcohol program in the Marine Corps, and they allowed me to stay in even after my mess up.

Question by kelly825782003: Have you ever dated or been in a relationship with a guy who is in rehab and going through recovery (alcohol)?
What were the difficulties you experienced? Was it hard to get an emotional side from that person, or hard for them to open up about things? Did you feel that they were not really ready or serious about a relationship?

Ya I once dated Bill Gates back in the day when he was a rebel. Beating up nerds and chugging alcohol. He got arrested 8 times and got sent to rehab never heard from him again.
