Question by joey: I just want to ask, is there a facility that offers both alcohol and drug treatment?
My uncle is both a drunkard and a drug addict. I can’t let him live like that. I’m turning him into a rehab (whether he likes it or not) because I know he really needs help. I just want to know if there are rehabs that offer treatments for both alcohol and drug cases. Please let me know asap.

Question by Antoiwanna: The American Medical Association and Alcoholics Anonymous BOTH believe that alcoholism is a disease. T or F?

Answer by Lemanski’s Ghost
Of course it’s not so simple. AA recognizes a spiritual solution to alcoholism, so it is not a strictly biological disease in their view if spirituality can overcome it. They also tend to be negative toward things like medications to control cravings, depression, anxiety, etc. But it is certainly a physical condition within AA, and in their view it requires a metaphysical cure.
