Question by TheHotPinkLady: What are some alcoholic drinks with little-to-no alcoholic taste?
Hello there! What are some alcoholic drinks or punches that are relatively strong but don’t taste of alcohol or have a very faint alcoholic taste? Preferably recipes that can be made in quantities of three or four drinks and aren’t particularly weak the way most girly drinks are (for instance, amaretto sours, malibu and pineapple and other drinks made with weak liqueurs). The stronger, the better! Thank you kindly.

Goodness, amaretto sours are the way to go. Maybe you’ve just had weak ones in the past – the few I’ve had have gone straight to my head and tasted like cherry heaven… and I’m a straight scotch person.
Maybe you could experiment with variations of sangria?

Question by abercrombie_jackie: Is the consumption of alcoholic drinks legal in cooking or travel shows?
Is the consumption of alcoholic drinks legal in cooking or travel shows. The Travel Channel and Food Network shows (such as Racheal Ray’s $ 40 a Day) show the hosts drinking. Are they really drinking or are they drinking apple juice and water?]
I was always under the impression that they are drinking real alcohol because the purpose of them being there is to tell us about the food and drink of certain places.
It’s the same with reality shows correct?

This is not really a drink but it is fun…
Cut a hole in a watermelon with a corer. Then put a bottle of something (Vodka etc..) upside down into the hole and leave it until it is absorbed all the way. put in the fridge and cut in half.. you end up with a watermelon slush.. It is creative and different..

If you wanted to make like a lemon cake, you could add like Lemon liqueor….or Chocolate liqueor to a chocolate cake…i added it to my chocolate buttercream recipe….a good place to get recipes is Cakecentral.com…or Epicurious has good recipes. At cakecentral you do have to start an accout, but its free and you can look at pictures of other people’s cake to get ideas.
