Look into locating alcohol and drug rehabilitation clinics close by your city or town. Check the directory focused on your town and state. Check into free aid on how to help an addicted loved one.

she has hep c or cirrosis of the liver she needs to see a Dr right now
if she does not quit drinking she may die soon..for her to have symptoms all the time she is in her late stage..
look for yellowing of the eyes or skin
nausea / vomiting
pains in the lower flank of the body
tenderness to the touch
lack of wanting to eat
and weight loss
and if it is weight gain she needs to have her stomach drained from all of the toxins
..my friend went to the VA hospital because he looked like he was pregnant they had to emergency remove 7 2liters of a green fluid out of his stomach and said another day or 2 he would of died

How does he afford the booze? Alcoholism is expensive too.
EDIT: yes I know its a serious problem, but as you said only the friend can help himself. PLUS, this guy is wanting to know about “free” programs – looking for a handout, and while it may be for a good cause, I was just making the point that his friend obviously has the money for a rehab program, but he has to stop buying the booze.

Question by Sophie: My friend is 13. How can I convince her to stop drinking alcohol so much?
my best friend is 13 and she drinks a lot. She says she has a lot of problems. Ok so I know for sure she’s exaggerating because she tells me all her problems and there nothing important. But she says she drinks because she can’t smoke so she drinks to stop the smoke cravings. I dont want her to become somebody who depends on drinks and cigarettes. What can I say to her to convince her to stop?
