Question by Tak: Will there be any risks if i stop drinking alcohol cold turkey after 4 yrs of drinking every night?
I have had 6-16 beers every night for little over 4 years…I ent to stop…is it dangerous to stop cold turkey?

i drank more than that daily for 24 years and quit cold turkey,and all that happened to me was that i feel alot better,go for it!

I need to lose about 15lbs. I exercise everyday and control my food intake but I can’t seem to lose any weight. Is this because I drink 3-5 shots of Tequila at night? If I stop drinking, will I lose the weight?

Well, that will be less calories that you are taking in, so that can lead to weight loss for sure. A shot has about 100 – 150 calories in it (depending on how much your pour). So that’s between 300 and 750 extra calories per day. That’s an extra fast food hamburger or so. Think about it.

Question by jewel: My husband drinks 5-10 beers a night, would this be considered alcoholism?
He even cracks beers open as early as 10am on Sundays. If he doesn’t have his beer, he resorts to wine or alcohol.

Question by nobody: If I only drink one glass of wine a night but I am alone and it is with dinner, is that alcoholism?
they say if you drink alone the that is a sign, but I like to open a bottle of red wine and have a glass or sometimes 2 or 3 while I eat dinner and watch a movie by myself. Why must someone be with me in the room if I am still going to drink the same amount if they are there or not for it to be acceptable?

Absolutely not. I drink at least 3 beers a night, and I am not an alcoholic.
