Question by destiny n: I would like to find an alcohol rehab for my sister in Cedars, Pennsylvania. How will I do this?
I’ve always known that my sister drinks alcohol, but I’ve always thought that it wasn’t a serious problem. She has just told me that she’s doing badly at work because she drinks too much. She’s thinking about getting herself treated and I’m supporting that option.

I’m glad you aren’t in denial because some relatives of alcoholics are. Please do continue on encouraging and supporting your sister. It will help her get through the whole ordeal. To find alcohol rehabs, you may use the links below. You can also ask her to go to a doctor so that she can get recommendations. Having her join AA will be beneficial too. Good luck! My friend’s alcohol consumption has really gotten way out of control. I would like to convince him to get himself treated. I figured I’d find treatment centers so I could ask people there about what I should do.

There are a lot of people who wouldn’t admit that they have a problem with their alcohol consumption. In cases like these, you either wait for them to hit rock bottom, or you can do an intervention for them. You can ask an intervention specialist to facilitate the session for you. I don’t know what part of PA that’s in, but there’s a place called Marwarth (sp?) in the Posonos that’s supposed to be good. TCs are only the start though.

I really want to help a friend of mine who has gotten herself addicted to alcohol. It pains me to see her struggling with this. Aside from finding a treatment center for her, I don’t know how I can help. Any ideas?

She asked me to help her do this. She needs to find an alcohol rehab for her only daughter. Her daughter started drinking alcohol when she and her husband separated ways. Her daughter has always been a “daddy’s girl”, which is probably the reason that she finds it hard to cope when he’s not around. I really want to help my friend with this. I also know her daughter and it really pains my heart to know that this is happening to their family.
