Question by BigBuds: Help quit weed having problems?
I have been smoking weed a few times a week for the past 3 years. I have noticed some negative effects on my short term memory. (It might just be in my head, but it is minor if anything). I go to the gym regularly so I am in great physical shape, that is not a problem. Three months ago weed started giving me weird pressure in my head. Sometimes i get the pressure even when im not high. I hear the pressure is anxiety related, i took valium before smoking once, didnt help. I am on a lot of medications. For ocd, depression, gad, social anxiety, low thyroid, adhd, and bipolar disorder. They keep changing my meds so nothing is steady right now except straterra, prestiq, seroquel, and some new one they added yesterday dont know the name yet. I quit smoking weed, no withdrawal. But I feel the need to get high. I started using valium, percocet, and xanax to get high. I still get the pressure sometimes in my head. The pressure is sometimes in my nose, one side of my head, top of my head, forhead. It is not sinuses. The pressure spot moves around when im high on weed. How can i get this pressure to go away so I can smoke weed and quit using these other drugs. I can not drink alcohol as i have horrible side effects with my medications. I REFUSE to live a sober life. I have been on drug treatment programs so dont reccomend that. Useless unless you want to quit.

It sounds like you are going to have to deal with these side effects until your habits of getting high finally corrode your brain and nervous system enough that you die. Expect a long, painful trip until then because honestly the only way to possibly correct the problem would be to quit while you still can.

Question by ♥Gorgeous George♥: If you took a test and someone said you had 4 out of 16 signs of alcoholism would you quit drinking?
It was a test in a magazine
Best answer:
Answer by The Alternative Mr Boombastic
Nope – wouldn’t even if I got 16 out of 16. Not because I condone drinking, but the test has surely got to be whether you have any physical signs of illness, e.g. yellowing, headaches, feeling lathargic etc. If ya do, see a doctor, and take it from there. Those tests are only there to make you think, not to diagnose.

I referred a friend to a counselor, but the therapist is very boring(she says). The therapist does very little talking, and add to the conversation as needs or she feels. She (the therapist) rarely ask questions. The check is however deposited either that day or the very next day. At the end of the session-the conversation ends and nothing else is said and i mean nothing. Even if you comment that it is a nice day, she says nothing. This is ok because we understand that business is business. Also, I do believe there is a form of therapy where the client just says everything and the counselor feeds off of that. In this case, the woman says nothing and the client say nothing and it get to a point where they are just looking at each other. Eventually the client just makes up anything-it could be about a shoe. And yes of course, the therapist says “what is it about a shoe”.
let me add, there is no drugs, alcohol or any abusive situation. She just felt that she should talk to someone regarding a health (cardio) issue-which rarely comes up in any conversation. How do you get out of this and discontinue the service.
