Question by wuzzbert: My doctor has told me to stop drinking alcohol for 3 months. Can I have a few on holiday?
I went to the docs becuase I go out at weekends and was drinking a lot (70 units a week approx). He said my gamma GT level was high (55) and that I should not drink for 3 months. Ive done a month without a drink and was wondering if when I go on holiday next week and have a couple at night (and i mean a couple) will this effect my detox and put me back at square one or will it be ok?

And by the way is a level of 55 bad?

if the doc said don’t drink then i tink they mean don’t drink u can have just as much fun without alcohol and replace it with the high of knowing that God Loves You!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, the BAC (Blood Alcohol Content) will not completely be diminished. If it is for the police or for a medical condition they will be able to detect small ammounts of alcohol.

I want to stop drinking because every morning after i always feel really embarrassed from what i did (starting fights for no reason or saying stupid things to people) but I cant have fun when im out unless I drink. I’ve tried not drinking but its sooo boring when I don’t and im really uncofident when im sober. What do you suggest i do?

Buy none alcoholic alcohol, that way no one knows that your not drinking so I guess you could act drunk, you don’t get left out and no bad feelings the next morning.
Don’t worry about the way you feel in the morning, loads of people feel anxious the next day

it is normal. musicians lead a nasty life. alcohol on a regular basis affects you severly. tell him to smoke pot instead. seriously.

Nope. I like my drugs. As a matter of fact I need to go shoot up with heroin now.
