Question by Judy B: If you comply to take a blood/drug test for a rehab center, will they really tell you who reported you?
I told a friend that I found alcohol bottles and my mom used to / has an alcoholism problem and I suspected a while ago that she did drugs. My friend reported it. Today, she got a call from a rehab center saying that, if she complies to a blood and drug test, they will give her a copy of the report and tell her who “anonymously” reported her to the rehab center. I guess my mom doesn’t have a problem after all because she laughed and decided to take the test (tomorrow) to see who reported her. I’m so scared; she’s going to be so mad at me– unbelievably mad at me– and there’s no way she would understand.

Will they REALLY tell her who reported her and give her a copy of what was said, or are the rehab people just telling her that to persuade her into it?
If you know, how do you know this? I just want to be sure…

We’ve only just moved to this area, so I’m really not familiar with the place yet. It’s just that we need to put our son in an addiction treatment center, to get him treated for his alcoholism. Any tips you can offer will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

You can look through the local yellow pages. There’ll surely be a list there of the addiction treatment centers in your area. You can also check out the links that I have provided below. Or, you can go to the nearest hospital and ask a doctor or healthcare provider for recommendations. I hope your son gets treated soon, it’s always tough, but he can get through it. Just continue being there for him. Good luck!

My mother really needs to get herself treated for her alcohol addiction. Ever since my brother died, she’s never been back to her old self. I want so much to help her. Maybe if I find an addiction treatment center and do an alcohol intervention, maybe she’ll consent to treatment. I just don’t know where to start. Please help.

I’ve already included a list of treatment centers and rehabs that you could check out. You can call them and ask for their help for the intervention. Have you talked to your mom about her alcohol consumption? She probably has no idea how much this is affecting you. I’m sorry about your brother too, it must be hard.

You can also call a helpline, 800-559-9503 if you want to talk about this. You can also ask their assistance for finding the right addiction treatment center. Good luck! I sincerely hope your mother recovers soon.

My brother Colin left a few days ago to enter an alcohol rehabilitation center in Van Buren, Maine. See, it’s not that I don’t trust him or anything; it’s just that well Colin likes to play around. He always lie – not with the intention of hurting people but with the intention of making fun of other people. So I as I was saying, he left a few days ago to go to Maine but I’m not sure if he’s telling the truth. I want to check up on him so I’m asking if anybody knows of an alcohol rehabilitation center in Van Buren. Answers will be very much appreciated. Thanks.

I think you can breathe well now because there really is an alcohol rehabilitation in Van Buren, Maine. I’m not sure if your brother is there though (how am I supposed to know, right?). Well, I listed some very useful websites that I found while searching for Van Buren rehabs and I suggest that you visit them. If you really want to make sure that your brother is safe inside an alcohol rehab, try to visit the alcohol rehabs in Van Buren and ask about him. If he is really there, give him all the support he deserves.

Question by questionable: Can anyone tell me the name and/or Artist of the country song from about 10 years ago about ALCOHOL RECOVERY?
The song goes from the dysfunction of a relationship that ended while still a practicing alcoholic to him getting into recovery, and getting ? months of recovery and the song ends with him speaking at a meeting and wishing she was there to hear his story and see him sober.

Can’t remember the name of it but Kenny Chesney is the artist. I had just gotten into recovery myself and cried everytime I heard it.
