Question by : How come when I drink alcoholic beverages I cannot taste anything other than alcohol?
I’ve been drinking for two years now and as much as I want to drink with my friends I simply cannot stand the taste of alcohol. But every time I tell them I can’t taste the berries in the wine or the taste of whiskey they just give me this weird look. Every alcoholic beverage tastes exactly the same to me: burning alcohol. There should be differences between liquor and wine, the taste of whiskey in comparison to gin but I simply cannot tell them apart.

You probably just don’t like alcohol. Maybe try mixing your own drinks that way you can control how much liquor goes in your drink.

The more somebody bugs me to do something, (stop smoking for example) the more I actually tend to consume.
Express your concern once, and then move on. Harping on it is not the answer, it was heard the first time you mentioned it.

Question by KISS MY ASSATAR FF: Is cirrhosis of the liver ever caused by anything other than alcoholism or drug addiction?
a foster sister of mine died of this Monday and she was only 48. I asked my foster mom if she was an alcoholic and she didn’t answer me, not that it matters, I’m in recovery… I just wondered. I didn’t know her that well, she went to live with my foster parents after I had graduated and moved on. But 48, it’s still so sad.

Question by OK: Is wine alcoholism worse than whiskey alcoholism?
Thats what Jack Kerouac said in one of his books, but he didn’t explain why?
Best answer:
Answer by Psych Lapse
in terms of the alcoholism, the addiction to the substance, no – wine does not create a worse type of alcoholism than whiskey does.
Wine as a beverage is very acidic. Drinking great volumes of wine can bring acid complications to the system that a malt beverage (beer, whiskey) would not.
