Question by Nathaniel: Help me understand changes a recovering alcohol addict goes through and the difficulties they face?
What physical changes does a person go through during recovery from alcohol and/or drugs? How does their body crave the alcohol or drug they are recovering from? Can someone also help me understand by explaining the different physiological difficulties an addict has while going through recovery?
Anyone who can give the most detailed and accurate helpful answers, with possibly a link to a reference gets 10pts. Please help!

They will get the shakes, vomit (sometimes with blood depending on how long they have been drinking),become paranoid, body aches.
Really if you have ever seen a movie with someone coming off of heroin or something like that it can be very similar. especially with heavy drinkers

Question by jivebig5: What is the best rehab center? and how much do they cost?
I have been looking up rehab centers that deal with not only addiction (alcohol) but overall rehab for anxiety/depression/mental health. I was looking at a few such as:
http://www.sierratucson.com/
http://www.cirquelodge.com/
http://www.themeadows.org/
My question is has anyone ever heard of any of these centers? What do you think of them and what would a 30 day stay at one of these cost approx.?

I think the best thing for you to do is to contact your own Primary Care Physician and talk it over with him/her.
Explain what you want to get out of the rehab. It could be that your local hospital is equipped to deal with this.
I checked into a hospital and was admitted into their psyche ward. They dealt with my drug addiction and my depression.
I got so much out of it. You can read more about my story at http://www.whatwinnersdo.com I have been blogging since I got out of rehab

Question by : If a Court Orders Someone to stop drinking alcohol and they obey were they ever an alcoholic ?
Alcoholics I feel will not be able to stay clean
Best answer:
Answer by Gabrielle
That’s a head trip question eh?
I guess alcoholics CAN become clean… eventually, that is a fact.
Different people become clean in different ways for different reasons, this may have been enough to help them?
Maybe they weren’t an alcoholic in the first place? Maybe they were and are stealthing alcohol when they can? Maybe they will take it back up, maybe not.
I guess time will tell all for this case eh?
What do you think? Answer below!
