Question by We Be Steady Mobbin: Would they test me for drugs when….?
I’m going to get my permit soon and I smoked with 2 other friends a couple days ago. We had a small blunt and that was it. To get my permit I need to go to the doctor and get something signed by him after checking me off for a couple of things. The checkboxes are like things such as medical conditions along with alcoholism and drug abuse. Do you think they will test me to see if i have drugs in my system or just ask me if i do drugs?

The other party knew the drunkard was an alcoholic and we are talking two an a half bottles of wine to one 125 lb 5′ 7″ woman. The other party offered the alcohol. The other party says he wanted to marry the girl and have her babies. If he was that serious wouldn’t he have helped her through sobriety? Also, the drunk girl got help through AA, counseling and anti-depressants immediately and apologized profusely. But when she was drunk she was nuts, she said mean things, tried to attack him physically, and then was verbally degrading herself. So, the one drunken episode was really, really, really bad, it couldn’t have been too much worse.

What To Do When He Won’t Get Help?

I’ve been married, faithfully, to my husb. for 9 years. We have an 8 year old boy.
However, my husband suffers from anxiety and to a lesser degree, depression. It’s gotten worse this year because I went the “tough love” route and I no longer enable his food and alcohol addictions. Despite identifying the problem, offering possible solutions, and making counseling available, he hasn’t taken any steps in helping himself.
When is enough, enough? It’s hard to love an overweight bundle of issues who used to be the light of my life. It’s hard to make plans for the future when I don’t know if he’s going to choose to be well. Is this where I present an ultimatum?
Any thoughts are appreciated.

Has Anyone Experienced Suicidal Pain And Can You Make Suggestions On How To Cope When In Crisis?

I have a lot of suicidal emotional pain. I writhe in pain and abuse meds by mixing oxys with alcohol. I live alone and am in lots of trauma counseling. But when I am alone at home… I am suicidal. Need suggestions on how to cope with suicidal pain… I am fighting to live. I can’t just keep calling 911. It is getting expensive going to hospitals all the time. And drug overdoses knock me out… but are only temporary solutions.

If We Take Lots Of Water When Drinking, Will It Help In Reducing The Effects Of Alcohal Damage?

I am an addicted drinker, I drink only after dinner i.e at least half a bottle of wisky with two litres of water, can anyone suggest wether drinking lots of water will at least minimize the alcohol damage? Do not tell me to go for counselling and to stop drinking.

What To Do When A Friend Is Depressed, Suicidal, And Abusing Alcohol?

She’s a grown woman (in her mid 20’s), so obviously no one can tell her what to do. She won’t go to AA meetings, won’t go to counseling (even though her parents offered to pay for it). She has already spent 3 days in an institution (which cost her parents 10 grand) and it didn’t help. At what point does someone need an intervention? As a friend, is there anything you can do for a grown person who refuses help?
